This was a fantastic slate floor renovation project to be involved in; the full refurbishment of ‘The Masham’ public house in Stockton.
We had very little time, as we had to work around the other trades such as painters and electricians to get the busy food pub open quickly again.
The floor is a wonderful, rich dark slate that had taken some beating due to the popularity of the establishment.
We stripped the slate floor back to its bare bones and hand polished it with a few coats of a heavy duty sealer. Hard work, but well worth it.
As you can see, the end result shows off the slates natural beauty.
Also, as luck would have it, a new menu was being planned at the same time. So the test dishes were well received by the work force.
